What it means for travelers
- Airport: Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) is about 25 minutes from the resort, according to Hyatt.
- Hyatt says the island has direct international flights from Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and India, so most travelers from North America or Europe will connect through one of those Asian hubs or via a Vietnamese domestic flight.
- Opening-week caution: brand-new resorts often run with limited outlets at first. If you are traveling over the Christmas–New Year holidays, build in extra days, since it is a peak travel period.
- It joins World of Hyatt, so points stays should be possible once award inventory appears.
