Reminder: package prices rise October 13
- Princess Plus and Princess Premier each go up $5 per person, per day, for cruises departing on or after October 13, as Cruise Radio reported on September 28.
- New pre-cruise prices: Plus $70 and Premier $105 per day. On Sun Princess and Star Princess they are $75 and $110.
- The stand-alone four-device Wi-Fi plan ends. A new two-device plan costs $39.99 a day when bought before the cruise.
- Whether packages already purchased keep the old price: TBA. Ask Princess or your agent.
What it means for travelers
- Port Everglades is a few miles from Fort Lauderdale (FLL). Miami (MIA) is a workable backup, and Palm Beach (PBI) is a third option when flights are full.
- Flying to a Saturday or Sunday departure in winter? South Florida flights fill with cruise passengers. Arrive the day before.
- Round-trip week-long cruises keep your flights simple: one airport both ways.
