October 11, 2026 — Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream is back at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale for the winter after a summer in Europe. It sails three- to seven-night Bahamas and Caribbean cruises alongside Disney Destiny, Cruise Industry News reports.

Where Disney Dream sails next

Period Homeport Cruises
Late September 2026 through winter Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) Three to seven nights to the Bahamas and Caribbean. End date: TBA
From April 2027 San Juan, Puerto Rico Details and dates: TBA
Summer 2027 Port Canaveral Three- and four-night Bahamas cruises, joining Disney Treasure and Disney Fantasy
  • Winter ports: Disney’s two private Bahamas stops, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, plus Nassau, Puerto Plata, Tortola and Philipsburg (St. Maarten).
  • Where it has been: May to September 2026 in Europe, first in the Mediterranean, then from Southampton to northern Europe.
  • Europe in 2027: Disney Wish takes over, with three- to ten-night cruises from England, Italy and Spain.
  • More for Fort Lauderdale: the new Disney Believe is due to sail from the port from December 2027.

Disney Dream entered service in 2011 and carries about 2,500 passengers. Disney Cruise Line is part of The Walt Disney Company.

What it means for travelers

  • Two Disney ships now sail from Port Everglades, a few miles from Fort Lauderdale (FLL). Miami (MIA) is the backup airport.
  • Three- and four-night cruises fit a short block of days off, but they leave little margin. Fly in the day before.
  • Planning spring 2027? The San Juan season needs flights to SJU. U.S. citizens do not need a passport to fly there, but check Disney’s document rules for the cruise itself.
  • Summer 2027 cruises leave from Port Canaveral, about an hour by road from Orlando (MCO).
  • No fare changes were announced.
