November 2, 2026 — National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has released the second part of its 2028–29 lineup, adding new and expanded trips in the Galápagos, Peru, Costa Rica and Panama, the Amazon, Baja California and Egypt. The first part of the 2028–29 program came out in August.

The new trips

Region What’s offered Ships
Galápagos Eight itineraries of 7 to 17 days National Geographic Endeavour II, Islander II, Gemini, Delfina
Peru + Galápagos 2029 “Peru and Galápagos Escape” with Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu TBA
Costa Rica & Panama New 15-day “Epic Costa Rica and Panama”; expanded 8-day Guanacaste trip TBA
Amazon “Upper Amazon: A River Expedition,” Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, November 2028–October 2029 Delfin II, Delfin III
Baja California Gulf of California discovery trip; gray whale trip; festive-season holiday departure National Geographic Quest (others TBA)
Egypt “Passage Through Egypt,” Cairo to Abu Simbel 44-guest Oberoi Philae

Sailing dates, prices and the booking-open date were not published (TBA).

What it means for travelers

  • Galápagos, Peru, Upper Amazon and Egypt trips reach remote areas that usually need a connecting flight. Build in an extra day on the way out.
  • Galápagos and Amazon trips often have fixed group flights or transfers set by the operator. Ask early whether you can arrange your own air.
  • With departures as far out as 2029, there is time to plan around peak travel periods such as the holidays.
