October 18, 2026 — Costa Cruises is marketing its winter 2026-27 season as six themed “concept” itineraries across the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and the Caribbean. Each is built around a destination plus Costa’s onboard “Sea Destinations” programming. Starting in 2027, every Costa cruise will follow a concept.
The six concepts
| Concept | Ship | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Iconic Mediterranean | Costa Toscana | Rome, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Palermo |
| Mediterranean Soul | Costa Pacifica | Barcelona, La Goulette (Tunis), Naples, Palermo |
| Exotic Mediterranean | TBA | Malaga, La Goulette, Tangier, Valencia |
| Canary Islands | Costa Smeralda | Lanzarote, Tenerife, Fuerteventura |
| Antilles Collection | Costa Fascinosa | A different Lesser Antilles island each day |
| Caribbean Heart | Costa Fascinosa | Centered on the Dominican Republic |
Homeports, sailing dates and prices were not given in the announcement: TBA. Costa vice president of worldwide sales Luigi Stefanelli said the aim is holidays with “an ever-clearer identity.” A summer 2027 collection covering the Western and Eastern Mediterranean and Northern Europe will follow.
What it means for travelers
- Know your embarkation city before you book flights. The announcement does not name embarkation ports. Confirm yours when you book, then look at flights into that city.
- Fly in a day early for winter Europe sailings. Winter weather and thinner schedules make same-day connections risky.
- Caribbean sailings on Costa Fascinosa. Fly-in details are TBA. With an island-hopping route, check whether your embarkation island has direct flights from your hub before committing.
