October 6, 2026 — Disney Cruise Line has laid the keel of Disney Believe at Meyer Werft in Germany and will reveal the ship’s homeport and itineraries in a livestream on Wednesday, October 7.

Disney Believe is the fourth ship in Disney’s Wish class, at about 144,000 gross tons, and is due to enter service in late 2027. A custom coin bearing Tinker Bell was placed under the keel at the Papenburg yard, and Tinker Bell will also be the character painted on the bow.

Key dates

Milestone Date
Keel laying at Meyer Werft, Papenburg September 29, 2026, per Cruise Hive; Disney announced it October 5 without a date
Full reveal livestream from Disney Wish October 7, 2026 (time TBA)
Entry into service Late 2027
Maiden voyage date and homeport TBA
Bookings open TBA

The reveal is being staged at sea for the first time. Media aboard Disney Wish are working through a scavenger hunt that ends with the livestream from the ship’s Walt Disney Theatre. Clues released so far point to a bubble-topped cocktail, a new ice cream flavor and a venue called Fairytale Hall.

What it means for travelers

  • Hold off on flights. Until Disney names the homeport and first sailing dates, there is nothing to book.
  • Watch the October 7 reveal for the homeport, since that decides which airport you will need.
  • A late-2027 debut may fall near the holidays, when seats are scarce. If you want an early sailing, plan to arrive at least a day ahead.
