October 21, 2026 — Hyatt has brought its Unscripted by Hyatt brand to Thailand with QURO Bangkok Riverside, a 62-room hotel on the Chao Phraya River in the Bang Lamphu neighborhood.

What is happening

The hotel, announced as open on October 21, is a rebrand of the former StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit. It sits on Phra Arthit Road beside Phra Arthit Pier, within reach of Khao San Road, the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun. It becomes Hyatt’s 16th hotel in Thailand.

Detail Information
Brand / parent Unscripted by Hyatt / Hyatt Hotels Corporation
Location Phra Arthit Road, Bang Lamphu, Bangkok, Thailand
Status Open (rebranded from The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit)
Rooms 62, all with private balconies
Dining & drinks QURO Point of View rooftop bar, Silpa Riverside Restaurant (Thai), BEANS Coffee Roaster in the lobby
Features Rooftop pool, rotating art in QURO GALLERY

What it means for travelers

  • Bangkok is served by two airports, Suvarnabhumi (BKK) for most long-haul flights and Don Mueang (DMK) for many low-cost carriers. The announcement does not give transfer times from either.
  • Location tip: the hotel is next to a river pier, so the Chao Phraya boats are an easy way to reach the temples and avoid Bangkok traffic.
  • This is a conversion of an existing hotel, so expect a finished product rather than a construction site, although signage and branding may still be settling in.
  • It participates in World of Hyatt.
