October 2, 2026 — Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya has switched to an all-inclusive model, and Hilton says the oceanfront resort will become adults-only (18+) on January 10, 2027. It is the first Waldorf Astoria anywhere to go all-inclusive.
Hilton announced the change on October 1. The Points Guy and Travel Market Report both report that all-inclusive pricing is in effect now; Travel Market Report adds that the resort had sold an optional all-inclusive package earlier in 2026, and that format is now standard. The Points Guy lists the resort at 173 rooms, open since November 2022.
The plan covers dining at Malpeque, Chaya, JA’O and Peacock Alley, premium drinks, 24-hour in-room dining, a daily minibar refresh, fitness access and cultural programming such as oceanfront yoga and agave tastings. Guests who book direct on eligible rates get private round-trip transfers from Cancun International Airport, and eligible stays of four or more consecutive nights include one resort experience or excursion. Hilton executive Sylvia Scholey said guests want all-inclusive ease “paired with distinctive depth.”

What it means for airline travelers
- Existing bookings: reservations made under the old terms are honored. The exception is parties with anyone under 18 arriving on or after January 10, 2027; Hilton says those guests will get personalized help finding alternatives. If that is you, call now rather than wait.
- Families: the last all-ages arrivals are before January 10, 2027. The neighboring Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya stays all-ages.
- Airport: Hilton’s included transfer runs from Cancun (CUN) and applies only to eligible direct bookings, so confirm it is on your rate before you fly standby into CUN.
- Points and rates: The Points Guy could not confirm new cash or points pricing because Hilton’s booking system was still switching over. No travel-industry or airline-employee rate has been published; check before assuming your usual discount applies.
